MOTOR CYCLE ENDURANCE FEAT
Cabled advice has been received by the Shell Company of New Zealand Limited of a Motor Cycling endurance feat which is without parallel. , Ridden in relays by six British motor cyclists a 350 C.C. Dunelt covered 40,235.5 kilometres in 554 hours S minutes (an averse speed of 72.606 kilometres per hour), between the Sth and 31st March, at the Monthlery Track, near Paris. This represents about four years’ mileage to the average motorist or motorcyclist—all covered in 24 days, during which period the engino was not decarbonised. Shell Spirit and Golden Shell Oil were used throughout.* -
