SHUNTER HAS BOTH HIS FEET SEVERED
MISHAP AT THOBNDON. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. During shunting operations in the l'horndon railway yards at about 7.30 to-night, William Oman, a married man with children and residing in the. railway settlement at Kaiwnrra, had both feet severed at the ankles by the wheels of a waggon passing over them, Oman did not sec the approaching waggon until it was almost on him and he foil in endeavouring to jump clear. Ho was taken to hospital. Oman arrived in Wellington from New Plymouth three or four months ago.
