ST. PAUL’S METHODIST CIRCUIT
QUARTERLY MEETING. A good attendance of officers and representatives assembled for the quarterly meeting of the St. Paul’s Methodist circuit, which was held at St. Paul’s church, Broadway avenue. Rev. ,1. Ernest Parsons presided. The financial statement presented by Mr. L. Laurenson showed a very successful quarter’s activity. Harvest festivals at St. Paul’s and Aokautere had been held, and the cantata, "The Story of j Calvary” had been sung at St. Paul’s' on Palm Sunday. Congregations at all services had been well maintained and it had been possible to vote sums to' foreign missions and trust funds. Young People’s work was carefully considered and May 19 was noted as Young People's day. A contribution to the Connexional Young People’s department was made. Arrangements for tho visit of the president of the conference, Rev. John F. Goldie, pioneer missionary in the Western Solomons, where he has laboured for twenty-seven years, were made. The visit will be on Sunday. April 21 and Tuesday, April 23. Mi-. Goldie will bo accompanied by Kera, a native Christian. Votes of sympathy with Mrs. Maunder and Mr. H. J. Harris in the loss of parents were passed. Arrangements for a season of aggressive evangelistic work were made and a strong committee appointed#
