HARE LETHBRIDGE. At St. George’s Anglican Church in Turakina on Wednesday the marriage was celebrated of Florence Egi'dia, eldest daughter of Mr. 'and Mrs. G. V. Lethbridge, of Waipawa, and Hugh, second son of Mrs. Hare and tho late Mr- G. Hare, of Wavertree, Feilding. The church was decorated with fern and begonnias, and the Rev. C. F. Pierce, assisted by the Rev.Ashcroft> of Marton, were the officiate ing clergymen. The bride who ,entered the church with her father, wore a frock of white spotted not-with panniered skirt. The little frills were edged with ribbon, and ornamented with tiny pink roses. A handsome veil, caught with orange blossoms, was also worn, and she carried a bouquet of bouvardia and carnations. The four bridesmaids were Misses Ruth Lethbridge (sister of tho bride), Amy Hare (sister of bridegroom), Nancy Cowper (Wanganui), and Winifred Pryce, two- of them wearing georgette and silver lace shaded in green. All four wore green hats ornamented with silver, and carried bouquets of bouvardia and carnations. In attendance: oh the bridegroom were Messrs. E, M. Hare (brother of the bridegroom), P. White (Hawke’s Bay). B. Blundell (Wellington), and D. Lance (Wanganui)After tho ceremony a reception to 300 guests was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. B. P. Lethbridge, “Ann Bank,” Turakina, where Mrs. B. P. Lethbridge received her guests, wearing a handsome frock. Mrs. G. V. Lethbridgo (mother of the bride) wore black georgette with Oriental trimming, and black hat with ospreys. Mrs. Hare (mother of the bridegroom) was. gowned in figured chenillo georgette and wore a black hat,.

A wedding of interest in swimming circles was celebrated at the Holy trinity Church, Avonside, Christchurch, recently- when Miss Gwitha Shand was married to Mr. Douglas Waghorn. Miss Shand has a remarkable record as an athlete. She held the swimming championship of New Zealand in 1919, 1921, 3923 and 1924, and in October, 1922, she swam in the tournament at Honolulu, . winning the 440 yards race and establishing 'a world’s record. Miss Shand is'also a popular golfer, and was twice champion bf the Avondale Club. Christchurch. ' Tho bride, who was given away by her father, yyore a simple drhped frock of sleeves and a very long ■ - tulle veil) bordered with lace, 'which.formed the- train. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers. The bridesmaids were her sister, Miss Gipsy Shand. and her cousin, Miss Phyllis Smith, Miss Shand wore a frock of a golden beige georgette and felt hat to match and carried a bouquet of cream and gold flowers. • Miss Smith wore a pink georgette frock with a felt hat and bouquet to tone. Tho Rev. O. Fitzgerald performed the ceremony. Mr. Roland Waghorn attended his brother as-best man and Mr. Rav Priest was groomsman. At the wedding reception the bride’s mother wore a primula georgette and lace dress and a felt hat to match.

The marriage recently took place at St. Peter’s Church, Wellington, of Iris, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Flower, and ''Edward Charles, only son of Mr. and .Mrs. A. E. Awdry, of Feilding, the ceremony being performed by the Bov." Canon Watson. Tne bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother-in-law (Mr. W. B. Homershajn), wore a cameo pink irock of French crepe! de chene, with full skirt, finished with deep silver lace, and drooping gracefully at the back. She also wore a long veil to. match her frock, with a bead-covering of silver tissuo, finished with clusters of orange blossom, and carried a shower bouquet of pink flowers. The bridesmaids were Miss Eewa Campbell (Christchurch) and Miss Peggy Smallbone (Nelson). The former wore a frock of cornflower blue silk net over georgette, and large pic f ure hat of blue-stitched taffeta, and carried a bouquet of apricot coloured flowers, and the latter a frock of pink silk net over satin. With pink and silver head-dress, and carried a Victorian nosy of pink flowers. The bridegroom was supported -by Mr. J. M. Mason (Feilding), as best man. A reception Us afterwards held at tho Eitz where i large number of friends were entertained. The usual toasts were honoured. The bride’s mother wore a gown ef navv morocain with fawn trimmings, and hat to match, and carried a bouauet of cerise hothouse flowers. Mrs. Awdrv (mother of tho bridegroom) wore a frock of navy georgette and black hat, and carried a bouquet of pink dahlias. The happy couplo left for their honeymoon amidst a shower of confetti and good wishes.

At the Feilding Methodist Church on April 3, the Rev. F. Copeland officiating, the wedding took place of Alber George Mailman, of Onehunga, formerly of Wanganui, and son of Mr. and Mrs J. C. Mailman, of Wanganui, anu Rhodesia Gladys, fifth daughter of Mr nnd Mrs. B. Gray, of “ Punatearoha, Kowhai Road, Feilding. There was a large gathering of relatives an friends. The bride wore a dress of ivory crepe de chene, with overdress of silk radium lace, embroidered veil, and tho customary cor ? nct '°/ orange blossom, silver shoes and stockings; she carried a. pretty bouquet of ■jvhite cosmos, asters, and fern. Miss Winifred Gray (sister) was the bridesmaid wearing a blue crepe de chene „anui, acted as best man. After the ® the partv and frienus were and Mrs. Gray at in Kowhai Road. . FIELD - , COGSWELL. The wedding - -wds solemnished at All Saints’ Church, 1 North, on Wednesday, April,- j3rd,, of Kenneth Wilfred, second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Field, Aokautere, and Jessie Mary, second daughter of- Mr. and Mrs. A. Cogswell, Forest Gate,. London. The church had been prettily, decorated by friends of the bride.’and a large wedding bell hung " suspended over the bridal couple.', ’ The bride, ' who was given away by -Mr, Clinton, was charmingly attirdd in-a frock of richly embroidered creme, laco worn over pale pink with pink;-satin shoes, to tone. She wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms and carried a beautiful bouquet of belladonna lilies and asparagus l'ern. She was attended by Miss Nancy Field as bridesmaid, whose dress was of lavender crepe do, chene, tho Russian headgear of lavender and creme net being very effective. Her bouquet was of yellow dahlias apd maidenhair fern. Two little flower girls, . ;i Christobel Field and Mary Grant, looked Very sweet m their dainty little frilled frocks of creme net over pale pink. They also wore poke bonnets of creme net over pink, trimmed with wee rosebuds or pale pink and carried posies of ceuauTea and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Lester Field, as best 'man. Rev. P. Wiltshire was the officiating clergyman. • After the ceremony the guests, numbering about one hundred, motored out to the Fitzherbcrt East Hall, at Aokautere, where they were-received and afterwards entertained at a wedding breakfast by the bridegroom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Field, the latter wearing a frock of black rayon relieved with beige, with hat to tone. The hall had been prettily decorated for the occasion and, a large wedding bell of pink and white roses made and desgned by Mrs. Hopcroft hung above the bridal table. The table decorations of white American anemones y t maidemiair fern were much admired, having been the work of Mrs.’-'W. Brockie (the bridegroom’s hunt). The guests ipeluded Rev. P.r Wiltshire. LATHAM EGGERS. A pretty wedding took • place at Upper Moutere, Nelson, on Tuesday, April 9, ' between Esther Clara Eggers, youngest daughter of the late Mr. J. Eggers' and Mrs. Eggers, of bPP er Moutere, and Percy Hewart'.;Latham, youngest son -of -Mr. and Mrs..;R. - Latham, of ABhhu;st, and late of Bolton, England. ' The bride's -dress- was of crepe do chenef trimmed - with silver lace and pearls. The church was crowded. There were many beautiful presents,- including several cheques. After the reception the happy couple left ±or a; ffiotor tour of the North Island, the bride’s travelling costume being ot navy blue with hat to match. She also wore a lovely fox fur; the gift of the bridegroom. The future home of the young couple will be at Ashhurst.. CROCKER —FRASER. At St. Brigid’s church, Feilding, on Tuesday, April 2, a quiet wedding was solemnised when Margaret, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A* Fraser,. of Feilding, was married to William Henry, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Crocker, of, Raurimu. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a pretty frock of ivory crepe de chene and silver lace. Her veil was of daintily embroidered.tulle held m place with a coronet of orange blossoms. Her bouquet was' of white asters and maidon hair fern. Two bridesmaids were in attendance, Miss) Emma;--.Fraser, sister of the bride, and Miss Nola Fraser, or Hastings, cousin of the bride, frocked alike in shell pink r crepe de chene and brilliants. They carried bouquets to tone. The bridegroom’s gifts to the bridesmaids were- signet- rings. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. James Fraser as best man and Mr ; Jack Crocker as groomsman. The happy couple left- on thir .honeymoon amidst showers .of rice and confetti. The bride’s travelling frock was of saxe blue repp with hat to tone. .
