KIA TOA GOES TO WANGANUI

DEFEATED 11-10. Kia Toa club made a trip to Wanganui on Saturday, where a friendly game was played against Pirates. Neither side was up to full senior strength but notwithstanding, a fair exhibition of the Eugby code eventuated. Pirates emerged with the honours, beating the double blues by 11 points to 10, the winners’ scoro comprising a try by Ball,' converted by James, an unconverted try by Williams and a penalty goal by Ball. Kia Toa’s points wore a try by Conrad, converted by Mullins, and a try by Morgan, also converted by Mullins. Mr J. Eichardson controlled the game and did not make too much uso of the whistle. In the evening a very line dinner was put on by Pirates. Mr Louis Colicn. the well-known and pouplar Kiverside city sport presiding, whon full justice was done to the good things provided.
