Ex-King Ammanullah is marching on Kabul with 30,000 troops armed with Russian rifles and ammunition. Considerable fighting is proceeding between the rival forces. In Herat an unpopular Governor plus a nephew whom the Governor was planning to put in his place and a colonel who went to the rescue were assassinated by mutinous troops. The nephew was a supporter of Amanullah. Foreigners and Indians have been ordered to leave Herat.
