EASTER CHURCH SERVICES

Tho Easter theme with its glad message was expounded from all Palmerston- North pulpits yesterday when all denominations appropriately marked tho season. At Cuba Street Methodist Church, Rev. J D. McArthur took as his subject for the morning service, "The Risen Christ,” while in the evening his theme was "The Many Forms of Jesus.” Miss M. Killiek was tho soloist. At St. Paul’s, Rev. J. E. Parsons took as his subject in' the morning ‘ Along the Emmaus Road,” and in the evening, "The Conquering Christ.” Special Easter music was played with an Easter story for the children. At All Saints, Canon Fancourt preached in the morning on ‘‘Mary Magdalene,” and took as tho title of his evening sermon "I Want Something.” Rev. C H. G. Eycrof: at Emmanuel Congregational Church had special Easter subjects at both morning and evening services with appropriate music. At the Salvation' Army Citadel, Major and Mrs Gray conducted tho. special services with thoir Easter message while Rev. F. A. Crawshaw at the Baptist Church conducted a revival prayer meeting in tho morning, with Easter themes for both morning and evening services. The preacher at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in r.lie morning was Rev. R. Gardner, of Woodville, while in the evening, Mr L. Noedl was in the pulpit, both services carrying the Easter message.
