GOLF SEASON OPENED WITH MIXED DOUBLES
PLAY ON SATURDAY. Golfers had a delightful day for the opening of the season on Saturday and a largo number competed in mixed foursomes. There was a good light for first place, R. B. Lucas and Miss Lyons just getting home by one stroke, 84 —12—72, from 1L W. McKee and Miss Dudding, SC —13 —73. J. H. Taylor and Mrs. Macmillan were third with 88—13 —75. SMITH WINS MIAMI TOURNEY. Received Monday, 1 a.m. NEW YORK, March 23. Smith won the open Golf tournament with 289 for 72 holes. Kirkwood was 22nd with 303.
