Managb (Halcombe) won tho South Island middleweight championship in Smin 53 3-5 secs for ten miles at a speed averaging 67 miles an hour. He fought a thrilling duel with C. Goodwin (Auckland) who was second, N. E. Webby (Blenheim) being third. The raco was won by a foot. Tho Brooklands Handicap for A class machines, 8 miles, resulted: J.
