MANCHESTER UNITY

LOYAL MANAWATU LODGE. There was a large attendance of members present at the usual fortnightly meeting of Loyal Manawatu Lodge held in the lodge room, Cuba street, last evening, N.G. Bro. Northey presiding. The lodge room was draped in black in respect for the late Bros. Whalley and P.P.G.M. Browning, motions of condolence being passed to the relatives of both. Two candidates were balloted for and accepted and duly initiated into the Order. An invitation from the Loyal Dannevirke Lodge for members to attend a meeting on°Mcuday evening was accepted. Two candidates were proposed for membership. Visitors from Wanganui , Remucra, Dannevirke. Dunedin and Etunway were welcomed by tho V.C. and they duly responded. All arrangements for the entertaining of tho Grand Lodge officers on Wednesday afternoon and evening, March 27, were adopted. All members and visiting lodge members are invited to be present that evening to welcome G.M. Bro. Pritchard (Ashburton), D.G.M. Bro. Quigley (Dannevirke) and G.S. Bro. Shrimptou (Wellington).
