The Halcombo Sunday School annivcrcary services will be held to-mor row, both morning and evening. It was reported in Thursday’s issue that the boys’ championship at the Lytton street school swimming sports was won by Eric Stuckey. This should have been Fred Stuckey. Blr. P. G. Jngpen, of the Pcilding railway stall - , who has been appointed stationmaster at Hikurangi, near AVhnugarei, left yesterday to take up his new duties. The death occurred at Peilding yesterday after a short illness, of Blr Thomas Coker, a well-known and highly respected settler of Colyton, and a gentleman whose associations with the Peilding district extended over a period of 50 years. Deceased, who was G 9 years of age, leaves a widow and six sons (the eldest being 15 years of age) to mourn their loss. Ho is also survived by brothers and sisters who are also residents of the Pcilding district. i
