PICKARD—WEST. St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Hastings, was beautifully decorated with pink and white flowers and a large wedding bell and prettily adorned arches were arranged up tho aisle for the marriage of Miss Alary Jane M est, daughter of Mr and Mrs. J. West, Eiverslea road, Hastings, and Air Roydon Allan Pickard, eldest son of Mr and Mrs. W. A. Pickard, of Dannevirke, which was celebrated on Tuesday. Tho Rev. D. Shaw officiated at the ceremony. During the service the hymn, “The Voice That Breathed O’er Eden,” was sung. Air Ljmce Craig presided at tho organ. The bride presented a -pretty picture frocked in ivory satin, tho skirt mounted with ivory georgette with silver tissue trimmings. The soft meshes of the silk embroidered tulle veil fell from a coronet of pearls and orange blossom. Silver shoes were worn and she carried a bouquot of belladonna lilies, dahlias, and ferns. She was given away by her brother, Mr W. J. West. Miss Marda Houlahan, of Hastings, was bridesmaid and wore an effective frock of apricot shaded georgette with a frilled .collar and cuffs in pastel fluted georgette. A French felt hat, ornamented with gold motif, was worn, and she carried a Victorian posy to tone. Air H. B. Poppelwell, of Hastings, ably assisted as best man. Subsequently the guests were entertained at the Rialto toa rooms, which had been beautifully decorated in blue, mauve, and apricot tones, and a huge floral wedding bell. The usual toasts were honoured, and the happy couple received many happy congratulations. Airs. West, mother of tho bride, received the guests and wore a smart model of navy blue wool crepe So chine, and a black hat with touches of flame and mauve. Beautiful flowers were carried. Mrs W. Pickard, mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of grey charmeuse, and black hat with touches of rose.
