Authority to accept an offer by the Bank of New Zealand to take up £200,000 of city debentures, being the balance of tho £400,000 waterworks extension loan sanctioned in 1926, was given by the Auckland City council last night. The loan Ls for 31 years as 5 per cent and will be issued at £9O Is 3d per cent. The net cost to the council is £5 5s per cent.
