Miss Constance Laver, the Victorian woman who since tho first returned sildiers disembarked has made the welfare of' the down-and-out Digger her special care, is having a well-deserved holiday. Two sympathetic Melbourne women, learning that Miss Laver’s health had given w r ay, defrayed the expenses of a trip to England. Saying nothing of tho scheme they had in mind, they booked her passage and sent her the ticket, says an exchange.
