Rise in Copper and Lead MEXICAN REVOLUTION AFFECTS OUTPUT United Press Association—By Electrifl Telegraph—Copyright. Received Tuesday, 11 p.m. LONDON, March 19. Yesterday on the London Metal Exchange was called “mad Monday.” The rise in copper and lead is ascribed to American influences and was unequalled for forty years. In the ease of electrolytic copper, the refinery production is behind tho consumptive de maud. Whereas cable companies, railways and other consumer* are placing orders for delivery next year delivery cannot be promised beyond July. Many works have stocks in excess of immediate requirements, but others are unabl{> to obtain quick delivery. The revolution in Mexico is affecting tho output of lead and American consumers aic showing groat nervousness. The immediate cause of the rise in copper was the closing by tho bears who had sold anticipating a fall, but became frightened by the continued improvement in price.
