The Woodville Fire Brigade is holding a dance in the Foresters’ hall. Woodville, to-night. A boy, aged 15, who escaped from the boys’ training farm at Wcraroa, near Levin, on Tuesday of last week, was discovered in a house at the corner of Silburn ftreet and Allen road, Grey Lynn, Auckland, on Monday evening. An inmate of Roto Roa Island, who had been in the habit of going out on a raft which ho had made from tins, has been missing since March 14. It was considered to be quite safe, as ha never went far from the shore. The raft was afterwards found on the beach. An Auckland motor painter has reason to be thankful for the attentions of an inquiring bull lavished on a motor car which was left unattended at the recent races on Muriwai Beach. The car, resplendent with new paint, had been parked with scores of other vehicles of varying lustre. _ The prowling bull becamo interested in its reflection rn the burnished panels, and it walked round the car delivering a series of playful prods with its horns. The owner returned to his badly marred vehicle and later to the paint-shop.
