GARDEN PARTY
FOE DISTEICT NUESE FUNDS, Glorious weather prevailed yesterday for the garden party held at the residence o ftho Mayoress, Mrs. E. Fair, in aid of the Feilding District Nurso funds. It was 1 a perfect early autumn day and throughout the morning the committee wero fully occupied in preparing stalls etc., for the disposal ot goods received by way of donations from the many supporters of the organisation. The lawn and garden looked a picture, proving an ideal setting for the gathering, presided over by Mrs. Fair. During the afternoon many competitions were promoted for the entertainment of the guests who thoroughly enjoyed, the outing. Proceedings were continued in the evening when dancing on the lawn was indulged in.
