DALGETY AND CO.’S SALES. Messrs. Dalgety and Co.‘ Ltd. report ou the sales of last week as under: There was a moderate entry of stock at the Marton Sale on Monday, February 25th., which sold as below:—Aged low condition ewes 9/6; 2-th ewes 40/6; light fat cows £6/7/-; dairy cows £7. There was a very heavy yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle at the Tzihape sale on "Wednesday, February 27th. There was a large attendance of buyers and all lines submitted met with keen competition and changed hands at prices satisfactory to vendors. There was a large entry of sheep and a moderate yarding of cattle at the Feilding sal6 on Friday, Mar. 1. There was very keen competition for the better class of ewes but lambs were dull of sale at lower prices than those previouslv ruling. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., report: —A heavy yarding of sheep came forward for the usual weekly sale held at Feilding. It wa3 generally anticipated before the sale that ewes would show a sharp decline on late Tates in sympathy with the fat and wool prices. Guch was not the case. Lines of good ewes with clean mouths sold readily at prices approximately on a par with tho ewe fair. Aged and broken mouth ewes were neglected. A considerable portion of the yarding consisted of lambs, and although a total clearance was effected under the hammer prices were considerably easier. Store cattle were hard to quit and the beef market also was easier. "We quote: —Fat ewes 18/1 to 25/6; fat lambs 19/- to 28/-; fat wethers 27/-; fat cows £5/10/- to £B/15/-; fat heifers £9/17/6: fat bullocks £l3; 4 and 5 yr. ewes 24/1 to 28/10; 4-th ewes 30/- to 30/10; 2-th ewes 33/10 to 35/6; 6-th to 4-yr. ewes 32/10; f.f.m. cwes29/6; ewe lambs 22/4; wether lambs 34/5 to 16/6; cull ewes 6/8 to 19/3.

Messrs. Abraham and Williams Ltd. report: —At Feilding sale on Friday there was a large entry of all classes of store sheep and a fair yarding of cattle. Sheep prices were a little easier than those ruling at the Fair od February 22, but most of our entry changed hands. Cattle; were on a par with late rates.
