From Our Own Correspondent. A mooting of the committee of the Linton Sports Club was held on Friday evening, there being a good attendance of members, with Mr T. Lynch in the chair. Sincere sympathy was expressed to the relatives of Mr Loyal Craw, who has met with a serious accident, and who at present lies in hospital in Palmerston North. Mr Bert Bix w*as appointed handicappcr of members race, vice Mr Craw. Mr A. Moycs was heartily thanked for his donation to the funds of £2 2s.
The secretary was instructed to make arrangements for the catering of the ball. Nominations for all events have come in very freely and there should be good sport given by the whippets, as nine heats have been declared for the two races. Miss A. Foster and Messrs. A. E. Wilde, N. Greer, H. Hook, A. Heard, G. Hampson, and A. Higgio were elected to the membership. Resignations were received from Messrs. E. Hennessey and M. A. Court, these having left the district.
