NO MORE POT HOLES

LOOSE METAL AND THE ROAD GRADER. Pending the costly advent of tar sealing, every tocal body in this dis trict has successfully eliminated the pot holo nuisance and its dangers on every high-road and by-road _ under their control. The process is inexpensive, but decidedly rough on tyres, and tricky at the corners. It consists of spreading fine loose gravel over every untarred surface. One winter and one summer have shown how effective it is, especially when brought to the centre by the grader at intervals. It is however, a great handicap to thousands of cyclists in town, who hope for the completion of tarred streets at an early date.
