HAWKE CUP
NEXT GAME AGAINST WANGANUI. .At last evening's meeting of the executive of the Manawatu Cricket Council, regret was expressed at the inability of Nelson to field a team for its Hawke Cup fixture against Manawatu, which was to have commenced on March 6. The next game will be against Wanganui on March 20. In the event of Manawatu retaining tho .Shield, the final match will be between tho Waipu and Nelson Associa tions. The secretary was instructed to write to the New Zealand Cricket Council, asking for a statement of the position.
