THREE INJURED IN MOTOR SMASH
PAR STRIKES BALUSTRADE.

AUCKLAND, Last Night. Three occupants of a flve-seater motor car were sent to Auckland hospital to-night as the Tesult of an accident at a corner, when he car crashed head on with considerable force into the end of the balustrade separating Albert street from the narrow road giving access to Darby street. The injured are John Stokes, married 34, who received a severe gash on the back of the head and shoulder and cuts on the face. His condition is serious. Mrs W. Thomas, a broken arm. Athol Thomas, aged six, injured neck and concussion as well as biting his tongue right through. The car was ‘ driven by Sydney Knight. The impact with the balustrade was very severe, Stokes being hurled through the windscreen. Tho tax was extensively damaged*
