TO-DAY’S RECIPE
RAISIN PUDDING. Quarter cup butter or shortening, half cup sugar, one egg, two cups flour, quarter tear spoon baking powder, one cup milk, three-quarter cup seeded raisins, quarter teaspoon lemon extract. Cream butter. Add sugar Blowly and beaten egg. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder together, and add to egg mixture alternately with the milk. Add raisins. Beat well, and pour into greased cake pan. Bake in moderate oven 30 to 40 minutes. Cut in slices, and serve with lemon or vanilla sauce.
