Palmer 162 Not Out RESULTS <>E MATCHES PLAYED ON SATURDAY The Manawatu senior cricket compelilion was resumed on Saturday, when R.S.A. met High School and Palmerston Played Old Boys.

In the former game, the R.S.A. team went to the wickets first and compiled 384 before declaring with the loss of five wickets. Palmer, with 162, topped the scores for the day, treating the School bowling harshly. His tally included 2S fours and three sixes, three fours and a six coming off Spring’s 13th over. High School had one wicket down for 23 runs, when play ceased for the day. In its game with Old Boys, the Palmerston team, batting with ten men, spent the whole afternoon at the crease, knocking up 366 runs. Galliclian included 21 fours and one six in his score of 125. A. JUNIOR GRADE. P.W.D. v. R.S.A. P.W.D. 230 (Smales 117 not out) drew with R.S.A. 142 for six wickets. Walcelyn 46, Hancock 26 and Webster 26 were the ex-soldiers’ best bats. Rougotea v. Old Boys. Rongotea, with 125 was six runs too good for Old Boys. 119. For the victors, Carlisle 34, Gust 21 and Wright 19 obtained most runs. Bennett, five for 19, took most wickets for Old Boy 3. Bennett 41 and Akuira 15 had the best scores for Old Boys. Green, three for 14 and Wright, six for .63, got tho wickets for Rongotea. P. and T. v. All Saints.

P. and T. with 126, (McKay 72 and Hodren 11) beat All Saints 33, (Mile? 14) by 93 runs on the first innings. Sandman, for All Saints, took four wickets for one run. McKay, three for eight, was P. and T.’s best bowler. In a second strrike, All Saints made 154, Scorgie 60, Watt 26 and Sandman 25. being the best bats.

THIRD GRADE. Albion A (Lang 69, N. Spratt 48, C. Johnstone 22, Buiclc 20) beat P. and T. 59 and 48 (R. Kells 26). Gordon 27 and 102 (Riddell 26, Young 20) beat Kia Ora 68 and 18. Phoenix 77 (Evans 43) and 107 for two wickets declared (Evans 68, M. Johnstone 29 not out) beat Albion B 44 (Oram 22) and 46.
