HASTINGS SUCCESSFUL IN B GRADE SECTION PALMERSTON CLOSE SECOND * IN STREET MARK. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Last Night. The total points for music and marching in the quickstep wore:— A Grade. St. Kilda, 275} points ........ 1 Q. A. O. Wanganui, 269} points .. 2 Wellington Tramways, 266} points 3 Also competed: Wanganui Garrison, 264}; Otago Mounteds, Oamaru 261; Palmerston North, 259 J; Greymouth, 2591; Timaru, 255}; Woolston, 254}; Wellington Silver, 250}; Kaikorai, 248}. • B Grade. Hastings, 256} points 1 First Battalion. Taranaki 250 ~ 2 Feilding, 247} points 3 Also competed: Hawcra, 246}; Ashburton, 237}; New Plymouth Citizens, 214}. Tho Band contest was concluded on Saturday night when a demonstration concert was given. In the' afternoon, a street march was held and resulted:— Wanganui Garrison, 90 points .... 1 Palmerston North 89 points .. .. 2 Ashburton, 87 points 3
