McINNES WINS TAME GO WITH McDONALD
HONOURS EVEN. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Last Night. At the Drill hall last night, before a large attendance, a professional middleweight contest was fought between Lacbio McDonald (Timaru) 11.5} and Tommy Mclnnes (Scotland) 11.4} for a purse of £2OO. Tho fight was a tame affair and went tho full distance of 15 rounds, Mclnnes winning on points. Tho pair havo now met four times, each haviug secured two decisions.
McDonald some time ago received an injury to his right shoulder and claimed that it gave out after the second round. It was noticeable that he made little uso of his right hand, except for clinching, of which there was far too much allowed by the referee.
