THE TIVOLI
HOOT GIBSON. In the East, Dick Gordon, Jr., is trying to keep his bill collectors away until he receives his allowance. He returns to find that all his furniture has been moved out. The letter from his father arrives, minus the cheque. At tho same time, tw T o deputies come to arrest him. By exchanging clothes with his butler, Dick escapes in his roadster. He sells tho car and uses the money to buy a ticket to Oaliafornia. Ho arrives at the ranch, and learns from the foreman, to whom the elder Gordon has told his scheme, that the Valdes outfit is trying by every underhand means to get the Gordon land. Dick rides over to Valdes’ land to reconnoitre. He sees Marie Valdes, the daughter, and determines to meet her. While riding over to her, his horse trips and he is thrown, spraining his ankle. Maria, not knowing who ho is, assists him to her home, where she cares for him. They fall in’love, but when Manuel Valdes, Marie’s brother, tells her the man’s real identity, she becomes angry and tells Gordon to go. Manuel realises that they are unhappy without each other, so he makes plans to bring them together.
There is to be a Hoot Gibson matinee to-day at 2.30 p.m. On Monday an all star cast will appear in “Somebody’s Son.”
