PREMATURE EXPLOSION OF CHARGE IN QUARRY
THREE MEN KILLED. United Press Association —By Electri* Telegraph—Copyright. Received Monday, 2 a.m. ADELAIDE, Fob. 24. A terrific explosion in Waterfall gully quarry, scattering 100 tons of earth far and wide, killed three men: Frederick Bowron, 46, married, Francisco Camemolla, 25, married, and Charles Lorimer, 24, single. A fourth man was injured. Carnemolla was hurled nearly 200 feet through tho air and crashed against a fence, his face being terribly battered. Lorimer was buried under a heap of dirt. Bowron was blown off a cliff and crushed between falling showers of stone.
The workmen had prepared a charge to explode at noon but through some unknown reason, it went off three hours earlier.
