THE MARTON SHOW
On Wednesday next the sixteenth annual show of the Marton District A and P. Association will be held on the Marton park. The entries received disclose a very flattering response from breeders, all sections of stock • having received solid support. In the thoroughbred classes (yearling and two-year-olds) there aro nine entries- light horses, ponies and competitions total 191 entries; draughts 12, sheep classes 305; cattle 98, pigs 41; dogs 25; home industries 130; sewing and fancy work 189; school work 445. In nearly every class there will be competition, and there is every indication of the 1929 show being a pronounced success. For the convenience of staging the home industries, , sewing and . fancy work, school exhibits, and fruit and vegetables will be located in St. Andrew's hall which borders the park. Entries for fruit and vegetables close at 9 o’clock on the morning of the show.
The show will be officially opened by Mr. J. Hogan, M.P., at about 2 p.m.
