PALMERSTON NORTH SWIMMING CLUB
DEVINE AND HUNTER CUPS. Miss Nola Milverton has succeeded in winning tho Devine Cup this year with 9 points, winning each of the three distances. Misses E. Sutton and V. Jones are runners-up s and are swimming off for tho Weston J. Smith medal cn Tuesday evening. The last distance of 100 yards for the Hunter Cup was swum last evening and resulted in R. Milverton beating A. Fletcher for first place by half a yard, with E. O. Hyde a very close third. The Cup this year has been won by Milverton with 6 points with Fletcher runner-up with 5 points, and A. Skilton and S. McKenzie third with 3 each.
The Clere Cup, the third distance of which will be swum on Tuesday next, is providing interesting swimming. At the Technical School sports yesterday tho Club was brought to the fore by two of its junior members winning tho championships, Miss Nola Milverton' winning the girls and Cyril Siddells tho boys’ championship.
