POPULAR WIN FOR SHAW AT WAIOKIKI

PINE CONCLUDING ROUNDS. BLAIR AND GALLOWAY TIE FOE SECOND PLACE. Per Press Association. NAPIER, Last Night. The professional golf tournament on Waiokiki links was concluded to-day, with a popular win for A. J. Shaw. Clements and Butters, with loads of seven and six respectively from Shaw, were expected to fight out the final but neither reproduced the form of the first day and Shaw, with a fine third round of 74, entered the fourth round on level terms with the former leaders.

Shaw did the fourth round in 73, making his total 302. I, Blair and J. R. Galloway with final rounds of 73 and 75 respectively, flipped into second place, with 303. Scores for the third and fourth,„rounds and the total for all four rounds’ were: A. J. Shaw 74, 73, 302. H. R. Blair 75, 73, 308. J. R. Gallway, 77, 75, 308. R. C. Butters 80, 80, 309. J. A. E. Dalton, 91, 90, 350. The third stroke handicap was won by B. J. Smith with 71 and the fourth by J. D. Mclntosh also with 71. The Dunlop Rubber Coy’s, prize for the best not aggregate in the third and fourth rounds of the championship was divided by B. J. Smith and H. R. Blair, with 146.
