In the cricket match at Bathurst, Western Districts in the first innings made 127. Ewers made 44. Larwood took five wickets for 17 runs, Tate two for 29, and Freeman three for 55. Following on, the Westerners in the second strike made 81, Ewers contributing 37. Freeman took eight wickets for 31 runs. The Englishmen won by an innings and 111 runs.
Sheffield Shield * SOUTH AUSTRALIA MAKES 185 AGAINST QUEENSLAND. Received Saturday 2 a.m. BRISBANE, Feb. 22. In the Sheffield Shield match here, South Australia won the toss and batted against Queensland. The wicket was good. South Australia, in the first innings made 185 (Harris 61, Alexander 66). Oxonham took three wickets for 33 runs off 19 overs, Thurlow 2 for 40, Hornibrook 2 for 48, and Nothling 1 for 21. Stumps were drawn then.
