FEILDING ANNUAL EWE FAIR

A. and W.’s Report

Messrs Abraham and William’s, Ltd., report over 24,000 ewes were yarded at Feilding yesterday on the occasion of tho annual fair. With, tho ideal season wc have experienced, the majority of the entry came forward in capital condition. This was more pronounced in the ea&o of the younger sheep, there being some particularly attractive lines of one-shear Romney cross ewes showing quality and breed character. As is usual at this fixture, all tho well known breeders were represented. principally in the two tooth ewo section. The offering was submitted to one of the largest assemblies, of buyers for some time, there being •purchasers from as far north as the Waikato,, as well as a strong force of local graziers who were on the lookout for good breeding ewes. The sale was opened with the four and five-year-old ewes, whicn at the commencement was inclined to be a little sticky but by the time the first few pens were offered, the market hardened considerably and tho tone was sustained right to the close of the sale. Our entry comprised 11,395 which were all sold with tho exception of three pens. The fallowing are some of our sales: — 2-th ewes: On account A.
