NEW FREE STATE CHIEF OF STAFF
LONDON, Feb. 20. Major-General Sean McKeon, who has been appointed to succeed Lt.-Col. Hogan as Chief of the Free State Army was most active in the strife before the treaty and figured in the Ballinaleo ambush. While he was in Mountjoy prison, a sensational attempt was made to rescue him with a commandeered armoured car.
