WELLINGTON, Last Night. In an Interview, Mr. Sampson Handley, the cancer authority, said that if New Zealand took the initiative in forming a branch of tho British Empire cancer campaign, ho would feel that his visit had not been in vnin.
It had been reported to him that in the opinion of certain people here, it was not worth New Zealand’s while spending nny money on cancer research. He entirely disagreed, as ho thought that Now Zealand could do something to help itself, and, in so doing, help at Home. The message he wished to leave behind wns one of hopefulness and he asked that the problem be faced with courage and commonsenso.
