BOY CARRIED DOWN AS CLIFF GIVES WAY
ON NEW PLYMOUTH FORESHORE VICTIM SUSTAINS SEVERE INJURIES. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. Falling down a 40 foot cliff at Woolcombc Terrace this evening, John Charles Clarke, aged 12 years, suffered severe head injuries, probably involving a fracturo of the. skull. The boy was standing near the edge of a cliff which is continually being eroded by the sea, when a section of earth broke away, and carrying the boy with it, crashed on the sandy beach. The boy to-night was semi-conscious.
