From Our Own Correspondent. A final meeting of the Sports Committee was held on Tuesday evening to complete arrangements for tho forthcoming annual gathering next Saturday. Track arrangements are well in hand and by Saturday the ground generally should present a first-class appearance and good times will doubtless be recorded. On Friday morning it is hoped to have a working-bee on tingrounds early to put tho final touches on things, and given fine weather, the committee has every confidence in making this, its 18th annual meeting, the best on record. , The sports dance, which is to take place the following week, has always I been a popular event, and being the ! first dance of the season, is eagerly i anticipated by the young folk.
