Madame was an enthusiastic member of a fanatical cuLt which had its headquarters at Saigon. The cult has many disciples in Lyons. ,H Following a post-mortem examination, which did not justify the belief that death was due to strangulation, the police are investigating the theory that Madame Hodoyer was the victim of a strange Indo-Chinese ritual murder.
It appears that Madame was decoyed from her home on November 9 by a false story that her husband had been the victim of a motor accident.
