For having acted to the prejudice of good order and naval discipline, Engineer Lieutenant-Commander William Henry Edgar, of H.M.A.S. Anzac, has been deprived of two years’ seniority aDd placed on the retired list. This was the sentence of the Court Martial. • It is learned that the original sentence was inoro severe, but that it was reduced by the Navy Board. Commander Edgar, who was born in Dunedin, joined the navy 20 years ago and served with great distinction during the Great War. He was tho only Australian officer to tako part in tlte raid pX Zecbrugge. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross.
