KALAUGHER DOING WELL IN SPORTS AT HOME

PROMINENT RUGBY PLAYER

Recent advices from England are that W. G. Kalaugher, New Zea- - land Rhbdes scholar, has blossomed out as a prominent Rugby player for Ballioi College during the present winter at Home. Playing as wing-threequarter in tho first six matches of the season, he Rp.nred elo-ht tries and kicked 17 goals.

He is a member of the Centipedes and Achilles Athletic Clubs, but, because of Oxford’s ago restriction in inter-varsity athletics, he will not bo eligible to play for Oxford University against Cambridge University When they meet in the next English summer. Ho hopes, however, to be included in the combined OxfordCambridge team, which is to visit the United States during the coming summer to compete against Yale, Harvard, Cornell, and Princeton Universities. Kalaugher is also stated to be doing Very well at his studies.'
