Hot and Unsettled Weather Coming
The pressure has risen somewhat over southern New Zealand, but another deep depression has developed over south-eastern Australia. West to north winds strong in parts of Cook Strait; elsewhere moderate, but later winds freshening generally from the north and reaching gale force in places in and south of Cook Strait. Seas in New Zealand waters rather rough about Cook Strait, otherwise smooth to moderate generally but rising later south of Cape Egmont. Tasman Sea: Increasing northerly winds and smooth to moderate but rising seas in tho eastern. Tasman , Weather: Some isolated showers but mainly fair to fine at first and warm to hot later. A renewal of unsettled weather with Tain at first in the western and southern parts of the South Island and extending gradually to other districts. — (Standard Time! Sun (to-day).
