ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING OLD MAN
IN UNEMPLOYED BRAWL. United Pres 3 Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Tuesday, 8.50 ■p.m. SYDNEY, Jan. 15. The police have arrested Charles Brodie, aged 40, a journeyman baker, on a charge of iufleting grevious bodily harm on James Dignarn. The latter positively indentified Brodie as the man who kicked him ferociously, knocking his eye out. Brodie has been remanded. A cable, yesterday stated that James Dignarn, aged G 4, was seeking work at the Bakers' Union at tho Trades Hall Sydney, when a crowd of unemployed commenced fighting. Dignarn was knocked down and kicked most unmercifully on the head and face. His skull was fractured and his right eye destroyed.
