A HANDY COLLARBONE

DEFRAUDED INSURANCE COMPANIES. A man who was alleged to have lived on imaginary accidents since 1922, and to have made £2300 out of claims on insurance companies, was recently sentoned at the Mansion House to twelve months’ imprisonment in the second division. George Winter Williamson, agcd4B, pleaded guilty to obtaining £162 and an accident insurance policy by fraud from the Royal Insurance Company. The prosecution described the fraud as most impudent. Williamson had victimised at least twenty companies. Ho had a congenital infirmity of the collarbone which imposed on doctors and others, and enabled him to simulate an accident with some ease. In taking out the policy with the Royal Insurance Company he said he had no physical infirmity, had good eyesight, and had never had an accident policy or made an accident claim before. All these statements wero untrue. Directly tho policy was issued he had an imaginary accident at Wembley and recovered £162.
