EXPECTED TROUBLE AND HE GOT IT
SHOT DEAD AT GATE. United Press Association—By Electri* Telegraph—Copyright. BRISBANE, Jan. 14. Having told friends that he expected trouble when he got back, Richard Devers, aged 23, was shot dead at the gate of his father-in-law's house at Woody Point. Tho father-in-law has been arrested and charged with murder. Devers’ wife had gone to her father’s house, and ho followed. During an argument, a gun was produced. It is alleged that both men struggled for possession; an explosion followed and Devers fell to the ground, shot in the neck.
