MEANING OF “SERVICE”
The large proportion of car users interpret the word service as tho obtaining of something for nothing. Efforts to knock on the head tho fallacy of this definition havo not made much progress. A Melbourne motor trader suggested recently that some cduca- , tional propaganda for motor users is necessary. This, he said, could take the form of a garage placard reading:— —Definition of Service. — Work performed— Value given— Accommodation provided— In return for reasonable charges.
