At the Wellington Caledonian sports held on Saturday Master Ronald Scales of Palmerston North, secured the North Island championship in the Shcnntribhas (boys under 16), second place in the sword dance under 16 years and second in the Highland fling under 16. Miss Jean Scott secured first in the Sheantribhas (under 13 years) and first in the sword dance (under 12).
