DAILY MILK RATION FOR SCHOOL PUPILS
VALUE SHOWN BY TESTS. LONDON, Jan. 4. Tests which have extended over two years, made possible by a grant from j the Empire Marketing Board, have shown that children in leading Scottish cities who were given a daily milk ration showed an increase of 23 per cent, in height and 45 per cent, in weight over others who were given a ration of biscuits, that, theoretically, had the same nourishing power. Outside observers were struck by the alertness and boisterousness of the milk-fed children.
