UNEMPLOYED ARMIES TO MARCH ON LONDON

FROM SCOTLAND AND WALES. COMMUNIST SCHEME OPPOSED , . . BY T.U.C. Sun Cable. Received Friday, 11.55 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 11. Two armies of unemployed are preparing to march to London. Both are being organised by tho Communists and will face strong opposition by the Trades Union Council. The first starts from the Scottish coalfields next week, while a SoiUft Wales contingent of miners sets out a week later. The marches will not be confined to miners, and other unemployed have been invited to join en route. The demonstration is aimed not only against the Government, but against the Trades Union C.ouncil and the Parliamentary Labour party, with which the Communists are at bitter loggerheads. The Trades Union Council condemns what it describes as the exploitation o? the unemployed for the benefit of the Communists for political ends. It recalls that when the South Wales miners marched to London a year age there was much useless suffering and misery inflicted. It predicts that the experience will be repeated without assisting them in the slightest.
