EWE SHOW AND SALE AT SOLWAY, MASTERTON
Pull particulars are now advertised of the offering at the third annual purebred ewe show and sale to be conducted by Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co. Ltd., at the Solway showgrounds, Masterton. The judges this year are three South Island breeders, Messrs John Miller, Manga t da; Alex Murray, Clydesdale ;and Allan Grant, Willowbridge. After judging the respective sections, these gentlemen will co-operate in awarding the Wright Stephenson cup now held by Mr. A. P. Southee to the grand champion pen of the show. A feature of this year's sale is the inclusion of the whole of the McGregor Southdown flock on account of Mr. Wra. James, who purchased this stud along with the estate about a year ago and has now decided not to continue as a breeder. This flock is undoubtedly one of the best Southdown studs that has been submitted to auction in the Dominion for very many years and it has a very high reputation in the Wairarapa.
