CROATS’ LEADER NOT FAVOURABLE TO NEW REGIME
Iren Hand in Zagreb HIS DISAVOWAL NOT ALLOWED TO ISSUE UNPOPULAR NEW GOVERNOR. United Press Association—By Electri# Telegraph—Copyright. Received Thursday, 8.35 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 9. Tho Times correspondent at Belgrade says Dr. Matchck, the Croats’ leader, disavowed tho new cabinet. The now regime immediately showed its strong hand and every Zagreb newspaper attempting to publish the disavowal was confiscated. The new government has appointed a new government secretary tho officer who suppressed the local council (resulting in bloodshed) in December. The police have been ordered to dissolve the Peasant-Democratic coalition. Telegraphic and telephonic communication between Zagreb and Belgrade is at present interrupted. There is uo news of the situation there. People Disillusioned Of Alexander’s Move MEANS TO CRUSH ASPIRATIONSReceived Thursday, 11 p.m. VIENNA, Jan. 10. The crowds are completely disillusioned and now believe tho real object of Alexander’s dictatorship is to crush the iroplo’s aspirations. Tho police confiscated Zagreb newspapers containing the report of an interview with the loader of the Croation Peasant Party, in which ho declared the new Government was not what tlm Croats wanted. '
